NHS - InHealth
Sep 29th, 2012 at 7:21am

Had to contact InHealth recently to make an appointment. Their letter prominently gives 0844 581 0300. I was just about to check on saynoto0870 when I noticed at the bottom of the letter: "This 0844 number is charged....If you would prefer not to use the 0844 number you can contact us on 01494 419699". Same as the confirmed number on saynoto 0870. So 1.5 cheers to Inhealth for being half decent.

This is also on their website but they still emphasise 0844 and 0845 numbers:  http://www.inhealthgroup.com/contact-us.php

NHS London (the commissioner) are aware of this case and have put on some pressure.

Under the terms of the DH Directions to NHS bodies this number should not be used. Unlike in other cases, there is no obvious remedy that can be enforced.

There is however no good reason why more pressure could not be put on the company.
