It should say "35p per minute".

It does now.

Thanks to Golf_Paul for the proof checking.

It is interesting to note the politics involved here.

The BBC uses a picture of a badger "on the run", presumably from an approved cull area to another area.
A somewhat controversial illustration of an anticipated feature of 2013.

I wonder if we will shortly be able to picture Pudsey once again running from 084 to 034.
This could provide an illustration for what we may hope to see in 2013.
If Ofcom is sufficiently strong in its next set of announcements, expected around the coming turn of the year, then there may be many others taking the same path.

Unlike with the badgers and bovine TB however, this remedy is sure to be effective in removing the illness altogether.

I have looked back over the years regarding Hallmark Consumer Services in connection with the BBC Countryfile Children in Need/Pudsey Calendar and have found that 2006 (that was as far back as I could find anything) that 2006, 2007 and 2008 Hallmark were using an 0870 Orderline Number.

When Ofcom changed the regulation of use of 0870 so that it should be included in Call Plans and removed Revenue Share in 2009 I think it is significant that Hallmark changed their Pudsey Calendar orderline number to 0844.

This would have been around the same time that any GPs did the change and Dept of Health mistakenly advised GPs to go to 0844 numbers - Resulting in Callers to 0844 revenue share numbers subsidising expensive Telephone Systems to both Hallmark and GPs.

Pudsey had changed their number to 0345 in 2008 I believe they shoulld have made sure that Hallmark as their Agent should not use 0844 for any Pudsey Orders and should have changed this line at least to 0344

If Hallmark want to make their other Customers pay for their Phone System that is up to them but they must not associate 0844 with Pudsey.

I dont think in contacting Hallmark and Pudsey there is any way to get round to a geographic number because the Pudsey Orders would appear to be an almost self contained Department with a stock delivery to postal production line, however perhaps someone on here can show us something different.

Hallmark change your Pudsey number NOW to 0344 - how you treat your other Customers is up to you.

5p per minute is not the cost from a landline (the full call cost is always greater).
5/7p per minute is (roughly) the Service Charge, which is applied regardless of where you call from.

We cannot complain about using a West End Theatre booking service, which adds an extra fee for telephone booking, but this additional fee should be clearly declared. It is good to outline all of the T's & C's, but GET IT RIGHT.

They removed revenue share for sure, but there was no obligation placed in regard to inclusion in call plans. That situation applies only to 03 numbers.

Let us not get too excited about the 0870 blip, as it will be seen in history.

Under the current proposals, revenue share is coming back to 0870 numbers, so that 03 will indeed be the only non-geographic, but geographic rated range.

The changes to 0870 were part of a failed piecemeal approach to the issue, 0845 was set to follow and BT guessed that it would. Ofcom has instead grasped the whole issue. We are continually reminded of how important it is that the proposed measures are introduced clearly and undiluted.

PS: They have even advised that standard geographic rates apply to both landlines and mobiles. Shocked
