holiday inn/ priority club

They seem determined to make you use their 0871 226 1111 number.  I tried both the +3 and +800 numbers shown in the alternative numbers and get 'number not recognised'.  They refuse to let me change a booking by e-mail!  Help!

I've just tried both of those numbers +31 20 606 0234, +800 2222 3132 and they ring or go through to a message and into a queue and are certainly not recognised from the BT network.

Perhaps you can try them again, and maybe from a different operator. What operator did you make the calls with?

Thanks, Dave.

Maybe the + is throwing me out - I haven't got a + on my phone (BT line) so have assumed it is the same as 0 - 0800 etc and 03 etc.  Is this wrong?

The number starting 800  is an International Freefone Number: '+' refers to '00' in most countries or '001', '011' in other countries.

and the number starting 31 is a Dutch Phone Number,0031 from UK.

Holiday Inn/Crowne Plaza UK reservations number is
0800 40 50 60 if thats any help.

+31 20 606 0234  =>  00 31 20 606 0234

+800 2222 3132  =>  00 800 2222 3132

0 is the national dialling prefix in the UK. 00 is the international dialling prefix in the UK. The international dialling prefix is often written as "+" because it varies by country.

Thus, as bigjohn and catj say, +800 2222 3132 is an international freephone number which is dialled from the UK by 00800 2222 3132.

The number +31 20 606 0234 is dialled 0031 20 606 0234. 31 is the international code for the Netherlands and 20 (020 dialled from within the Netherlands) is the code for Amsterdam. You would be best advised to use a low-cost provider such as 1899 to ring this number as BT charges more to this number than the 0871 number.

Good Evening,

I have looked on-line at Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn and cannot find that number.  The 0871 Number they give is: 0871 423 4896

However if you click Customer Care from the top of the site, you are directed to: http://www.holidayinn.com/rewards/gb/en/customer-care/

Click the Worldwide Reservations Office link on the left hand column and you are given a list of numbers: http://www.priorityclub.com/rewards/us/en/customer-care/worldwide-reservation-of...

Holiday In UK: 0800 40 50 60
Express by Holiday Inn UK: 0800 43 40 40

It maybe worth trying these numbers.

If you use a mobile phone only see http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ for an alternative way to call these numbers.

0871 226 1111 is the number the  priority club visa card people promote for members to redeem points.

The explanations kindly supplied the other day worked fine for me - I used the international free number starting 00800.

Many thanks,

John
