Sky have increased the cost of calls considerably to some non geographical numbers in general from 1/12/2013 .

So it could well pay you to find suppliers who offer Freephone or Geographical (if you have inclusive minutes) Access Numbers for these type of calls. Or get a payg sim and put it in a spare mobile phone and use one of the cheap 1p a minute upwards suppliers.

Some of the increases include.

15p connection plus.

chargeband G22,goes up from 0.51p/min to 2.57p/min.
chargeband G8,goes up from 1.02p/min to 3.14p/min
chargeband G9, goes up from 2.04p/min to 4.29p/min
chargeband G10,goes up from 3.06p/min to 6p/min
chargeband G11, goes up from 4.08p/min to 7.64p/min
chargeband G6, goes up from 5.1p/min to 7.62p/min

Although this post is specifically about cheap call numbers, any call you make from Sky Talk to anybody using these type of numbers will of course increase unless you can find an alternative number.
