97.3 Forth 1 and 1548 Forth 2 (Read 5,278 times)

Does anyone remember the old telephone numbers for the studio of Radio Forth (Edinburgh). When they first split into two channels, I thought they both had a regualr number, but now you call

0845 345 4001 (Forth 1)
0845 345 4002 (Forth 2)

But in both cases, you get a message at the beginning, you have to press 1 and you get a ringing tone - which you have to PAY FOR.

If anyone can help with this and what the 0131 number was or is, please get in touch. Given that EMAP are networking some output overnight in the autumn, it may be more difficult in the future.

The stations have had various names over the years and there are various web addresses that are registered for it. Do you know when it changed to and 0845 number? It may be that the geographical number(s) has/have been changed over time, due to a change of phone provider.

I've looked on the Internet Archive for these addresses and it's yielded nothing.

Googling isn't made easy because "Forth" is a common word, and being associated with a river around Edinburgh, I've been flooded with results !!
