			I get free evening and weekend calls via my wireless broadband provider, but use 18866 for all my daytime, overseas and mobile calls, as it's by far the cheapest option.  I've never had a problem with poor sound quality.
  If by "the verbage" you mean the tariff message, I find confirmation of the rate I'm going to be charged a useful additional service.  What a pity other suppliers don't let you know what you're going to be paying for a call.  It would make it much easier to determine the cheapest option.
