You don't say for which area you need it. You'll probably appreciate that it will be re-directed by a call centre to your nearest facility, so for example, NHS Direct South West London is:-

natalie Newbie Offline Posts: 17	nhs direct Reply #2 - Sep 3^rd, 2009 at 2:45pm I rang the number for the nhs direct that you directed me too dave there was loads of numbers i rang the north east line which is 01912150267 thats the admin number now and she could only give me the national number which is 08454647. so if anyone knows the local number please let me know. thanks natalie

Remember 0845 numbers are now inclusive on BT landlines and some other land lines depending on which option you are on.

They are still only inclusive for BT's Weekend Calls Plan customers at the weekend and that is BT's base call package which around 50% of their customers are on. Whereas people can feel ill on a 24/7 basis or indeed out on the streets where they only have their mobile phone with them and 0845 numbers normally cost a lot extra from mobile phones.
