call through market a scam ? (Read 3,683 times)

Nov 25^th, 2004 at 10:53am Just seen this http://niftylist.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=12.0, turns out the 'competition' in the UK call through market is really not that real, one company is controlling at least 4-5 of the telcos who provide these services.

Might it be that the competition element is real because the companies are franchises (like 1899 vs. 18866)?

Anyway, as they allow international calls to Spain, Cyprus, USA, Canada, South Africa etc. for 1p a minute, I'm not complaining (I read about someone making a 20 minute call to Thailand the other day for 20p when the equivalent BT price was £13.60 !)
