domg Newbie Offline Posts: 29	Ocado Ltd Apr 20^th, 2005 at 5:08pm Anyone know a landline # for OCADO -- instead of the 0845- number they give? (there is also an +35- number given in the unverified list on this site, which works, but which is an Austrian number, which is extremely weird!!)

Ah ha! Sorry -- got my country prefixes mixed up! I *thought* they sounded Irish! Roll Eyes

That doesn't affect my request for a UK landline number however -- since calling Ireland on +35 is even more expensive than calling 0845.

Incidentally, on the 0845 Ocado number, they all seem to be scots. This gets more confusing by the minute.

Yeah, in fact I have thought of that. You're right: maybe I should look at cheaper suppliers...

I do make a very great number of UK landline calls however, and with BT Option3 I'm paying a tiny fraction these days of what I used to.

So any competitive option would have to offer me free landline calls -- and I wonder if the monthly difference between that & option3 (a few £?) is worth getting worked up about...?
What *really* steams me up is the 0870 racket!!

OCCADO -- the number you gave, DaveM, doesn't seem to answer in the evenings (Ocado Cust Svce is open till 11pm). This one does, though (also from their website)

OCADO customer service landline?

Can't find any alternative to the 0845 numbers for Ocado Customer Service. All the 01707- numbers are Head Office, and they won't put you through to the Ocado call centre.

This 0845 scam is becoming worse and worse -- and it seems that VERY few people, including e.g. those who work at the Ocado call centre, have any idea that an 0845 call costs 18p for 3 mins.

Have you tried the Irish number? You can dial it cheaply using various services (although, where are you calling from if 0845 costs 6p/min?) I know it's still far from ideal, though, as it costs something.

Also, have you tried contacting them via their website?

Ocado have various numbers in Hatfield:

Switchboard: 01707 228000
Recruitment: 01707 228111
Pam Ware: 01707 227978
Fax: 01707 227999

So it seems they have numbers in the range 22797x-22811x
