I agree with the thought though - it sort of takes your mind off the prefix doesn't it. You're too worried about trying to remember all the odd numbers & not miss any !!

Obviously intended to make you think you are dialling a geographic code (i.e. 01872/01291 etc). I have raised this issue with Ofcom but they said the number can be split and advertised how the holder of the number wishes-I said it appears to be done to confuse the caller, the reply I received seemed to imply "so what". I got the feeling they felt it was not their problem.
