National Rail
Nov 20th, 2007 at 11:27am

Just tried to ring for a price for a season ticket - tried the 'overseas' numner and was told that as I was not ringing from overseas I should ring their 0845 number - then it cut me off!!!!

I can't dial 141 before ringing as I was already ringing from a withheld (government) phone number.....anyone have any ideas?

Try 0121 6342040 (listed in the database as NRE). It is the number for Central Trains, but has an option for National Rail Enquiries.

Please let us know if this works.

PS: This should have been in the requests forum, but never mind Smiley.

There is a whole thread on how sneaky National Rail are with their enquiry number - see http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi?num=1116613395/0.

The Central Trains (and another unconfirmed number in the DB) seem to be the only way to get hold of them without ringing the 0845 number.
