Bid TV Geographical Number
May 15th, 2008 at 12:18pm

I used the 0208 6009700 number found on Say No to 0870 and asked to be put through to customer services- which they did via the 0870 number! How cunning is that? Angry

Why the angry face? you have only been charged the 020 geo number cost, they cannot increase the cost to you internally.

Dear Derrick,
The automated voice after the receptionist put me through said that I would be charged at National Rate so I am assuming that meant 0870. Is that correct?

No.  You made a call to an 020 number and will be charged accordingly.

The 'type' of call cannot change midway through a call.

Also 0870 is not "national rate" it is  a special services number, i.e. premium rate!
