The Published number is 0800 526337.

I tried 01245 491234 mentioned elsewhere in Saynoto0870 and did not get any answer.

I got an answer on 01502 534191 which is a billing number but on that number they would only give out 0800 526337

Sorry I do not have any more information to hand.

I eventually used the 0800 526337 and with a shortage of time reported the leak and did not discuss the lack of a geographic number.

What's the problem with dialing the 0800?

If you are calling from a mobile, just use one of the dial-through services, eg. 020 0222 0900 or 020 0222 0700. Dial that, it's a normal London number so costs you a geographic call, then key the 0800 you want to call.

As it happens, I've actually got the North West Water (erm, United Utilities..) Leakline stored in my phone as 02002220900p0800330033 - works great when out and about..
