Changes to UK landline calls:
Numbers starting with 01, 02 & 03
Making calls, during the day or evening, will now cost 5.39p per minute, instead of 4.4p per minute.
Don’t forget, if your call plan includes daytime calls, like with our Talk Unlimited phone package, you don’t need to worry – you’ll continue to enjoy unlimited calls any time of the day or night. Plus, if you’ve got our Talk Evenings & Weekends call package your weekend and evening UK landline calls are covered. Just remember that you’ll need to hang up and redial after 60 minutes. Otherwise your calls will be charged at the prices above.
Call connection charge
The call connection charge will change to 8.8p, from 7.82p. This includes calls to UK landlines and mobiles.
So in a nutshell...
Geographical calls, where chargable, will now cost 5.5ppm (when VAT rate returns to 17.5%)
Call connection fee will then cost a massive 9p (when VAT rate returns to 17.5%)

So these latest price increases along with their increase to certain 0844 numbers (mentioned
here) means it now costs nearly 7ppm (not including the massive soon-to-be 9p connection charge) to call the most common 0844 numbers used by many companies and GP surgeries.
