Barclaycard (Read 46,250 times)

carolc31 Newbie Offline Posts: 4 tayside Gender:	Barclaycard Jun 30^th, 2009 at 1:40pm I've been given a number to call back to Barclaycard (they called me on my mobile and left a message) - 0844 811 0039. Can't find an alternative for this. Anyone any ideas. Thanks a lot

Are you sure it was Barclaycard as this number is not listed on their web site or on the database? Did they ask you what they were calling about? More to the point, have you got a Barclaycard? If you haven't, how did they get your number?

I called it from a work landline and it's answered Thank You for calling Barclaycard, so looks like it is them.

No surprise that you got throughto Mumbai, many call centres are now in India.

There are lots of geographical and even freephone numbers in the database. Apart from that Barclaycard give their contact details for personal customers as:

0844 811 9111, or

+44 1604 230230 if calling from abroad

try the geographic number 01604 230 230 for customer services.

You will find in the unverified database Barclays Collections: 0161 951 2296

I am sure it is them, however I don't want to put the frighteners on you but anyone could phone you and leave a number saying that they are Barclaycard and when you ring back they answer that they are Barclaycard, if you get what I mean. I would phone them back on your work landline if you can and ask them what they wanted and make sure that is it is kosher.

I never ever give my mobile number to any bank or commercial organisation, however I realise that this might not be practical to everyone.
