VFS Birmingham - India Visa
Dec 29th, 2009 at 2:38pm

Anyone know what the thread is for vfs?  they are an outfit to whom the indian consulate general have outsourced their visa processing.
they only have the number 090-5757-0045 listed.
If they have your passport, that's the only number available.
There are also numbers in Edinburgh and London.
Thanks!!!!

That's the one.
Thanks.
If you can answer my question, Meester Bond, I shall delay your death for a few sweet hours in which I will outline my plans for world domination whilst showing you round my underground nuclear complex, etc etc

Hi there!

This 0905 number is an information line.  I have managed to find a fax number of 0121 236 6262.  I have tried a few numbers before the fax number, they either ring or answer " No incoming calls ".

I have found this:

http://www.cgibirmingham.org/mainindx.html

I am sorry, however I am unable to find out anymore.

I need a Visa to travel to India.  The Indian High Commission in the UK has outsourced this to VFS Global.

As part of the process there is no practical option (other than turning up in person at a few regional centres on spec.) except to call 09057570045 which is £0.95 per minute + connection charge.  Angry

Hi and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM.

This number was requested about a month ago, and I have joined yours to it. The link above in reply #3 provided by jamesbond has a link to a page listing phone and fax numbers which you might like to try:

http://www.cgibirmingham.org/mainindx.html

Unhelpfully, the requestor responded with "Thanks mate!" and no further information on what he tried, what worked and what didn't. Please can you provide this type of feedback on what you try so as to help others with the same query. Thanks.  Smiley

Sorry, should have fed back more.  It is correct that no other numbers seem to work.
Even worse, when you try to contact these regional centres the people who let the space to the visa surgery people (the Jain centre in Manchester)  never seem to answer the phone numbers listed for them.
Worse still, you don't get the expert and quick-fire service you'd expect when you do phone the 09 number.
