National Express Coaches

Does anyone have any new numbers for them.  Most of those listed either do not work,  one went through to an 'emergency line' and another to 'headquarters'!

Thank you.

Hi Martin. Please tell me which numbers you tried and what you found for each one so I can make necessary changes.

The report sent to us by Martin_rosen:
Quote:
0121 625 1122  - n/u tone
> 0121 254 6333  - emergency line !
> 0121 460 8400  - corporate headquarters
> 020 7529 2000  - recorded announcement : no. changed to 0845 0130130

I will finish off amending the database tomorrow, but (according to the verified database) National Express Coaches, ticket sales is 0121 423 8497 and customer relations is 0121 450 8447.

Let us know how you get on including what you try, what works and what doesn't and why it doesn't work.  Smiley

I have checked out all the geographical numbers and here are the responses.

0121 460 8400    - dead line, no connection at all
0121 423 8497    - worked, and very helpful operator
0121 450 8447    - transferred me to ticket sales via a menu
0800 0282878     - answered 'assisted travel'.  Did not hold for live operator.
0121 254 6333    - not ticket sales, referred me to 0871 number
023 9273 3030    - NU tone
01603 675269     - Complaints department.  If I re-dial to 0845 number I would get a menu, and choose option 2

Hi Martin, thanks for the feedback. I've have made some changes to the database entries.

I have found the following:

I tried 0121 460 8400 yesterday evening and it answered with a recording saying that it was National Express head office and the exact same message was on 0845 013 0130. This 0845 number rings out but wasn't answered when I tried it just now. However, the 0121 number is answered, but there is no ringing tone - just a period of silence. They may put you through to sales or customer services if you ask them to and I will be interested to learn whether you find that they will do this or not.

In summary, I think that the best number to purchase tickets for National Express Coaches is 0121 423 8497. Or buy them online if you can.

There are two 0121 numbers listed as verified.  However, both now have a recorded announcement saying that these numbers "are not recognised".

However (!) if you call their headoffice switchboard on 0121 460 8400 (opt 4) they will put you through.   I must admit I did find the girl on the other end quite unhelpful, but that is case of staff rather than phone numbers.

Thanks for the feedback. For the record, the numbers have a network announcement that they are not recognised and are 0121 423 8497 (formally for ticket sales) and 0121 450 8447 (formally for customer relations - also for 0844 844 2304).

Two other numbers that were removed previously, and were for bookings, are 0121 450 8658 / 8676.

As National Express has now disabled all the other numbers we had, I have listed the switchboard number. Note that this starts of giving the rip-off 08 numbers for the road and rail services and then says press option 4 to speak to head office.

Not sure where everybody has got to with these guys (excuse the pun!) but I wasn't able to find a number for customer services and upon reading noticed that some people have had problems too.

I called head office on 0121 460 8400 and mentioned that I needed the terms and conditions of travel but couldn't find them. He put me through to customer services without question, and the recorded message stated that 'calls would cost 10p per minute from BT landlines' (so I imagine from that I was put through to the 0871 department).

Anyway, I got my question resolved from this number so if all else fails maybe try firing obscure questions at switchboard.

hi
has anyone got a geographical number for national express out of office hours coaches inquiries? The ones listed on here are only for the head office and it's closed in the evenings...my phone plan doesn't include calls to 0871 so it has to be 0845 or 0870.thanks!

All the 0121 numbers are now out of use.  I phoned today only to receive a recorded message directing me to 0871 numbers at 10p a minute, plus charges by phone provider.
Does anyone have an 0870 or 0845 number (I'm not charged for these)  or anything other than 0871?
Unfortunately the numbers given on the saynotto0870 site are out of date.
Undecided

None of the numbers work on either main database or the main or non-verified database work for National Express coaches.

The only exception is 01304 242767, which does work but this is only the ticket sales office, rather than the main customer services number...

Thanks. I've removed entries with 0121 452 8000 /01 /02 /17.
