Passport Office Liverpool.
Jul 18th, 2010 at 11:06am

I have looked on the database for this number 0300 222 0000 which is the Liverpool Passport Office and there seems to be no geographical number.  I want to make an appointment to go over and have a fast track passport done. Is this number a high cost number to phone?

Hope you can  help.

Pam

03 numbers are charged at no more than a call to geographic numbers from all telephone providers. This means that they come from inclusive bundles where applicable and these rules apply to landline, mobile and payphone providers alike.

That is why there is no alternative listed; because it isn't necessary as the cost is the same.

Many thanks for reply and for the reassurance regarding the cost.

My wife handed her application form etc at out local post office on Monday and the new passport was delivered by special courier on the Tuesday of the following week.

Unless you want yours quicker than that, you are wasting your money on the fast track premium.

Hope that helps.

Well it is for my son who lives in Singapore. They used to be able to renew in Singapore but they can't now. He has 3 weeks leave and he wants to make sure he has the renewed passport in his hands and not trust the mail.

Thanks for the info though

I told my son about your wife's passport renewal and he has decided to do what she did.

Thanks

Make sure you do it via the post office. It costs an extra £8 but well worth it as they check it to make sure all is ok and as I say they will send it back via special courier.

One tip......In the picture you (or your son) must not wear glasses or have hair on the forehead. If you do it will be rejected.

Good luck.

Since when can't you wear glasses for a passport photo? Is this something new?

I'm wearing mine in my passport photo.

So am I, however when mine comes up for renewal in 2014, I will remove my glasses to save any arguements  (if I can read the instuctions in the photo booth. Grin)

When you got to the States and you have to have your picture taken at immigration, they tell you to take your spex off before they take the mug shot.
