Asda - Used to use 0844 numbers for Asda Direct, Home Shopping as well as its "Service Team" and these all now have 0800 numbers.
Aston Villa Football Club - Ticket office and some other departments are freephone numbers; all others are 0121 numbers. It used to use 0871 (see entries in our database).
Bennetts Retail Ltd (Bennetts Electrical) Head office, online orders and stores all have freephone numbers.

Nutrition Assocates [Discussion here] Reverted to 01 after being made aware that 0845 is not "local rate".
Oldham Community Leisure [Discussion here]changed from 0161 to 0844 and described them as "local rate". Following my email pointing out that this is incorrect, they have now said that they are going to change back to 0161 numbers.
Philips Consumer Electronics Support is now 0800 or 020 (depending on product type).

Reel Cinemas has changed its central automated booking line for use across all its branches from 0870 801 0870 to 01509 221155.
Wintercorn Internet Consulting [Discussion here] Switched from 0870 to freephone, including support.

Otelo appears to be changing from 0845 to 0330 numbers. Ofqual is similarly advertising 0300 numbers.

Brighter Connections are an "IT agent" company based in Huddersfield. Up until recently (I'm not sure how recently), they had been using 0870 numbers. I only recently discovered (I saw a pen of theirs at work) that they have now switched to 0370 numbers (which have the same last 7 digits as their old 0870 numbers obviously). Thumbs up to Brighter Connections!

Could this post be stickied alongside the Hall of shame? Otherwise all people see is the Hall of shame and not the one congratulating the companies that have changed to 03 numbers.
