Child Support Agency Moved to Bolton

Hi,

Just found out that the CSA that was dealing with my case has now moved all its file for my area from Stockport, Cheshire to Bolton. I had 01 numbers for Stockport but when I asked for Boltons number they gave me 0845 050 8488 I then asked for the 01 number olny to be told that the only number they had was the 0845 number. I found this hard to believe. I can't find an alternative number on this web site, I have tried on the internet, with no luck.
Is anyone out there having dealings with the CSA at Bolton and who might have their 01 number I would be very grateful as I tried ringing them and when it connected I was hanging for ages and I didn't get through. This only adds to the pressure of paying the bills, which I would have thought the CSA would have had more sympathy about, but I suppose they have got to get their money from somewhere.

The CSA website lists a few numbers to call when you may be calling from outside the UK (see this page).

Falkirk 01324 625758
Hastings 01424 465095
Dudley 01384 480188
Birkenhead 0151 649 0861
Belfast 028 9043 8596

Try the nearest one to Bolton from the numbers above. You may have to play dumb and see if they can transfer you.

The problem is these are the main contact centres used by the CSA but each contact centre may have smaller offices helping them out and this is where I suspect your case is now being dealt.

If no success with the above, then post back with an address (including) post code as it could be its being dealt with in the local DWP office.

Thanks bbb_uk going to ring either the national helpline for their address and/or Stockport because they did ask if I wanted their address to liaise via the post (and we know how long that can take) I will also try the Dudley number and act dumb, have done that before and it sometimes work. If and when I do find a number I will let you know for other members.

I love this website and it has helped me alot in the past to find 01 numbers I have also past it on to friends.

Will let you know the outcome of my findings.

The details for Vertex are ( as found on google) Manchester Rd Bolton, BL3 2QN 01204 528731 I assume this will be the switchboard number and you will have to ask to be put thropugh to the CSA. Ive not tried it so if anyone has success please let us know

I don't know if this will work but go to..http://www.csa.gov.uk/en/contact/call-from-abroad.asp and instead of 44 put 0 in it's place. It might just work and worth giving it a try. Dial 141 first to withold your number so they can't see your call is coming from UK.
