Hi everyone
I'm new here - 1st post so excuse if I make mistakes.

My daughter told me she emailed SKY and told them she wanted to cancel her contract and hey presto she got a call from them asking if they could help her as they didn't want to lose her as a customer. Didn't cost her a penny.

Now I don't know if this works every time but as I need to contact them myself I am going to give it a go. I will let you know how I get on.
Not sure what email address she used - will come back with it when I find out.

Sky Tivo GN Alternative "No Longer Available"

Members of the www.tivocommunity.com discussion forum are reporting that 01506 421710, listed as a geographic alternative for Tivo Customer Service in our database, is now bringing up a message saying that "the service is no longer available" when dialled.

Sky operates this customer service desk on behalf of Tivo from its main Scottish call centre.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come with Sky closing down its other geographic alternative phone numbers to its 0870 and 0844 numbers as that geographic alternative phone number at Sky for Tivo customer service had been working fine for the last 12 months plus.

Thanks for reporting this. I have removed this entry for 0870 2418486 and 0844 2410703 from the database.

Tried today, 01506 421832, recorded message "No longer available". Also 01506 421753, rang once before cutting off with message stating that the person answering had hung up. This was repeated several times. Eventually used 01506421884, call answered promptly and dealt with by very helpful operator.

I rang 02077 05300 but they would only give me an 0844 number but I then rang [b]01506 421884 [/b]and asked to be put through to billing and I was put through straight away without any problem - hope this helps

Rang sky back on mobile (above Number good) went into queue as plenty of minutes left, was answered after about 15 but managed to secure a 3 month deal on movies.

Just used 01506 421884. Got straight through to a very helpful lady who was able to deal with all my enquiries about Sky broadband, SkyTalk and Sky+HD. Probably means Sky will take the line down soon, but worth trying.  Smiley

Just used the 01506 421884 number successfully - had to wait 5 minutes in the queue, but once I got through I found the staff very helpful. Glad to be able to call for nothing evenings and weekends - thanks MSE and SayNoTo 0870

01506 421726 no longer in service, brief message and hangs up immediately.

01506 421844 still works a treat. It's the service for Sky'ss pub etc. customers so unlikely that this number will change. (Well, I wouldn't put money on that.) And properly helpful, courteous staff.

Just phoned Sky CS and the 01506 421884 number is still working.  Got through within 30 seconds.
